ISDI Statement on COVID-19 and the Special Dietary Foods Industries

At the International Special Dietary Foods Industries, food safety is at the heart of everything we do. This is even more the case during these unprecedented times, where foods for special dietary management may be a critical necessity to meet the specific nutritional requirements of those in need.

We are working hard with our global network of members and communities to ensure that safe foods for special dietary needs continue to be supplied to the people who need them during the global health pandemic of COVID-19. As an industry, we are putting all necessary measures in place throughout the supply chain to fulfil the increase in demand and we are working closely with retailers to replenish our products in stores quickly.

We would like to assure consumers, parents, caregivers and healthcare professionals that all foods for special dietary uses manufactured by ISDI members remain safe for consumption. The strictest quality and safety standards, including hygiene measures, remain in place across the value chain.

ISDI continues to apply all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, partners and communities in which we operate are guaranteed. All ISDI employees are now working from home to ensure business continuity. As a consequence of the current situation, all meetings are now conducted virtually and the annual regional meeting has been postponed to 2021.

You can count on us to continue to serve you with the highest quality foods for special dietary needs.
